Children

As parents and grandparents, the most precious gift we could ever hope to give our children and grandchildren is teaching them about  God’s love for them and to do what we can to help them (at a very early age) accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour. In fact, Christ himself spoke about the children.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.  Matthew 19:14

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

As parents we have an awesome responsibility to help our children grow up to understand the things of the Lord. Many times we are blessed by being able to help lead our children to a wonderful relationship with the Lord.

Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Mark 10:13-16 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and [his] disciples rebuked those that brought [them].

Matthew 21:16 And said unto him, hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Songs for Children

Songs are a wonderful way to teach children Bible stories. They’re also a great way to help them praise the Lord.

“Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,”  Ephesians 5:19

“Make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,”  Psalm 98:5

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”
Psalm 100 1-2
